Junior LPG Broker / Broking Assistant

About the Job

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded individual to join our LPG desk, working across both physical LPG cargo and Shipping teams.

The successful candidate will support the team across market coverage, client relationships and live cargo and freight opportunities, with the aim of developing into a full broking role. This is an opportunity to gain direct exposure to producers, traders, shipowners and charterers across the global LPG market.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the desk in developing and negotiating physical LPG cargo and freight opportunities.
• Monitor LPG pricing, freight markets, vessel movements and global supply/demand.
• Gather market intelligence and contribute to regular client market updates.
• Build and maintain relationships with traders, producers, charterers, shipowners and operators.
• Assist with cargo enquiries, vessel positions, bids, offers and commercial negotiations.
• Work closely with operations to support the smooth execution of concluded business.
• Gradually develop independent client coverage and new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Ideally 2-3 years' professional experience, preferably within commodities, shipping, broking, trading or another commercial environment; however, exceptional candidates with less experience will also be considered.
• Strong commercial interest in commodities, energy and shipping.
• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
• Numerate, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, ambitious and willing to learn.
• Previous LPG/Shipping experience is advantageous but not essential.
